Grounding USB cord

Many devices such as certain laptops, internet boxes, and landline telephones are powered by 230 V (Volts) with a power supply without a ground connection and are therefore sources of very strong electric fields (50 to 300 V/m).

To solve this problem, this USB grounding cord with cylindrical socket establishes a ground connection via the USB port of the devices in order to evacuate the electric fields.

These are captured at the USB socket and evacuated via the cylindrical socket of the cable connected to the earth terminal of a wall socket. Thus leaving the socket available to plug in another device that does not have an earth connection.

Precautions:

According to the NF C15-100 standard, the resistance of the earth connection must be at most equal to 100 Ω (Ohms). However, in order to neutralize electric fields and stray voltages, we recommend an earth resistance less than or equal to 50 Ω (Ohms).

To check this value, you can call an electrician or a geobiologist or obtain an earth meter to check the value of your earth rod.
